DENVER – Proposed DIY art gallery space, Peralta Projects, today launched an online survey seeking input from residents of Denver’s La Alma/Lincoln Park neighborhood to be used in a final decision on whether or not to open the gallery in June near the Santa Fe Arts District. Gallery founder, Esteban Peralta, cited increased concern over gentrification in Denver as the primary reason for seeking community input about the gallery.
“I can’t imagine moving forward with the project without buy-in from surrounding residents,” said Peralta. “There needs to be a new model for community engagement and input for businesses and other projects that hope to establish themselves in historic areas. I think this could be it.”
