Peralta Projects statement on the potential closing of the Chicano Humanities and Arts Council

CHAC has been a part of Santa Fe Drive and the La Alma-Lincoln Park neighborhood years before there was a designated arts district. Therefore, they are an important, integral and historic part of the West Denver community. We urge the city administration and the new owners of the building in which CHAC currently resides to take their circumstances into special consideration and to work with CHAC to think creatively about ways to save this essential Denver institution and keep it at its current location.
